Great civil engineering is key to building communities that are highly liveable, well-connected and responsive to their natural surroundings.

So, when the members of Curtin University’s Civil Engineering Association (CCEA) wanted to explore what can be achieved through fresh thinking and a respect for nature, they headed to Kingsford at Bullsbrook.

The visit was organised by Buckby Contracting who are part of the dedicated project team bringing our new residential estate to life within its stunning natural setting.

The 35 aspiring engineers were taken on a tour of Kingsford and given technical insights as to the contribution civil engineering has made to the overall planning, design and construction of this new vibrant heart for Bullsbrook.

They also learned how embracing the incredible contours created by the Ki-it Monger Brook and gently undulating land has seen Okeland Communities create a contemporary new estate that looks like it has always been a part of this established community.

Buckby Contracting Managing Director, Stuart Buckby, said the company is a passionate supporter of student associations.

“Kingsford at Bullsbrook is a fantastic project, and we are proud to have been able to share the design and construction journey with the civil engineers of the future,” he said.
